Last Two Weeks

So this is a quick update of how my work is coming along and what i expect to happen in the last two weeks of term. Since i last updated my blog I have had a lot of improvement in terms of my work at NCN after finally being able to get a successful code together this has now enabled me to improve on my work and since i have linked up the pages to my flash site and all i have to do now is get the work put on to the page and i will be happy with actually handing something in. This will be getting some images together, finding some relevant videos and making a few paragraphs about my line of production. Even though this isn't over complicated i am happy to get some work together to hand in as this is one module i have not enjoyed and as soon as this is done i will be happy to never use flash again.

In terms of my industry futures module i have now had a better explanation of what is required of us and now it will just be about taking the work done earlier in the term and making a lot of improvements to this. I have decided to change the product to the lynx product and discuss how the successful adverts that it has had have also caused a lot of problems for the company in terms of sexism. I will keep the practitioner as Edgar Wright and discuss his films but also in terms of hybrid film genres on the influence his work has had on films in the past decade. Then I will write about my personal skills and how the placements at university  and also my problems and how i will go about improving them. This work will be done in terms of a 2000 word report as well as a presentation. Even though this might be a lot of rushed work i think it will be do able.

In terms of placements for next term i had an interview last week but this is for a project i have had to turn down as there in not enough time in terms of filming and editing. I have updated my CV so i am hoping by the end of term to have something ready for when i come back after Christmas.

Critical Thinking Update

So its been a few weeks since i last put any update on my flash project and its because there is not a lot to update. I still don't have much clue on flash and it is something i have had a lot of difficulty with and it is fair to say it is something i will try to avoid after this module is out the way. I am also having a lot of trouble getting any replies from practitioners I have emailed a lot of people but have had no reply which has also got me pretty down as well about this project.

But I'm struggling to get a start with the whole thing. I have been watching videos on flash I get some things but there is other things such as the writing of making the flash that is confusing me. I am hoping once i have managed to get a hang on things i will make something that is ok. But as things stand this is a little while off but i have managed to start to build up the image i want to use for this project and have played around with these on photoshop which has been helpful. The only thing i have managed to do is my pre-loader but i might not even use it depending on how big my work is.

Ben has gave me a lot of advice but for some reason nothing seems to be sticking in my head at the moment. I have got an idea of what i want to do. I am looking to make a blurry image which includes a shutter camera lense which will be then clicked and enter into the next scene which will have some interactive boxes which will included the footage of my interview and then hopefully scrolling images but i need to spend a good few hours sitting down and researching a lot more about the flash. I did chat to Ben last week about my problems and he tried to assure me but I still don't understand which is frustrating for me right now. He showed me something to do and i will have a try at doing this.

I am counting the days till this project is over and at this time i'm currently not trying to get stressed over it right now. But this is going to be a long month ahead for me.
